MotoGP 2010 – Jerez

With round 2 (Motegi) been postponed due to the volcanic ash we headed straight to round 3, Jerez.

Rossi had injured himself during motocross (away from MotoGP) and struggled with qualifying so attempting to complete a full-race would be a huge up-hill climb.

Pedrosa started will in pole-position while Rossi climbed 2 places in the first lap leaving him 2nd, just behind Pedrosa, the first few laps saw both Rossi and Pedrosa pull away from the pack behind them which was lead by Hayden on the Ducati, Stoner on the other Ducati managed to get ahead of Lorenzo, however, Lorenzo the next lap pulled the position back and started to close in on Hayden.

A few more laps had passed, Hayden made a mistake and let Lorenzo through, while Rossi was finding it hard to keep up with Pedrosa’s pace.

The laps went on and Lorenzo seemed to just not be affected by tires degrading and closed right up to Rossi and then passed him with 6 laps remaining, Lorenzo’s next target was Pedrosa who was still leading the race with over a 2 second gap.

Lorenzo started piling on the pressure trimming the 2 second gap down to just under half a second with 2 laps remaining, Lorenzo tried to overtake Pedrosa 2 times and failed, the last lap started with Lorenzo all over the back of Pedrosa and forces him wide giving Lorenzo the lead while Pedrosa finishes 2nd, Rossi in 3rd followed by Hayden then Stoner respectively 4th and 5th.

MotopGP: 2010 – Qatar

The start of the 2010 season was in Qatar (as it usually is) under the floodlit circuit.
Great start for Pedrosa as he shot straight through from the 3rd row into 1st place in the 1st corner.

Everything looked smooth for the first few laps with Stoner and Rossi battling over positon with Hayden and Dovizioso in the mix, Stoner went ahead and started to build up a bit of a gap between him and Dovizioso. Rossi then went passed Dovizioso and tried to close the gap between him and Stoner, however he didn’t need to as the following lap (5th) Stoner crashed out by his own doing, no one around him, he lost the front-end of the bike and went down, race over for Stoner.

Rossi kept the lead ahead of Dovizioso and Hayden but the man on the move was Spies, back in 6th place then powering by Pedrosa into 5th and putting in quick lap after quick lap catching up to Lorenzo.

Back at the front Dovizioso took the lead for a moment which seemed to wake Rossi up, he took 1st place back straight away and the next few laps he started to make a gap between himself and Dovizioso.

With 3 laps to go Lorenzo started to pile the pressure on Hayden and left Spies behind and eventually got by Hayden with 2 laps remaining, the same lap Lorenzo got passed Dovizioso which had Yamaha in both 1st and 2nd.

Rossi won the race, 2nd Lorenzo followed by Dovizioso, Hayden and Spies rounding off the top 5.

The RuneScape Bonus XP Weekend

So what did I think of it? Personally I thought it was great, it seemed to boost the amount of people playing the game over the entire course of that weekend and it helps people achieve their goals faster, I don’t really see any thing wrong with having them.

You could argue that people with high-xp such as 200M in a skill for an example that they will say it takes away the hard-work of getting it but my opinion on this is quite the opposite, I feel that there’s no point in having 200M experience in any skill simply because it gives no extra features.

I’m looking forward to the next bonus XP weekend (whenever that may be) as it helped me simply achieve my goal of 90 Firemaking. I can’t get online much these days and a bonus XP weekend was exactly what I needed to help achieve my goal.

If you’re interested in what my next goal is, you can find out by clicking the RS-Goals tab at the top of the page, the goals in red indicate what I have to complete, the goals in green are ones I’ve completed.

LeetChecker v1.5 Preview

I’ve been doing some coding work regarding the Windows application LeetChecker which has gone over a dramatic visual change, here’s a picture of the first BETA picture of v1.5

As you can see, the only added feature is a last update bar which shows when the Grand Exchange was last updated, however, after a much-better makeover you’ll agree that it looks more RuneScape-based.

For more information regarding its update and current progress you’ll have to head on over to the LeetScape forums, or you could just click this link.
