These boots were made in 2006 (that's what the .06 means) so they're quite an old pair of boots.
I've bought these (cheaply I might add) as the ones I play in usually (white Vapor III's) have ripped at the toe-end and continuous play would simply just rip the bottom part ...

I finally received my Limited Edition Purple Mercurial Superfly's and they look great, I got them the other day actually, there are only 70 made and I have pair number 64.
I've decided to not play in these and simply save them, possibly sell them on eBay in a few months ...

Well, purple is one of my favourite colours, if not the favourite, I've always loved the Mercurial Superfly (football boot) as soon as I'd heard they made a purple coloured one I was already tempted to buy, but upon further reading I discovered that this is a limited edition version ...

It was an easy win for Dani Pedrosa at the end of the season as Casey Stoner fell-off during the warm-up lap and didn't make it back to the pit-lane before the race started, so he couldn't use his second bike. Rossi pulled in at 2nd with a close Lorenzo ...

Once again, Casey Stoner was proving he could have challenged for the championship if he hadn't of been off sick for 3 races by destroying the field and having a 18+ second advantage at one point!
He crossed the line with a 14 second gap over Pedrosa with Rossi coming in ...
