MotoGP: Valencia
12 November 2009 – 2:14pmIt was an easy win for Dani Pedrosa at the end of the season as Casey Stoner fell-off during the warm-up lap and didn’t make it back to the pit-lane before the race started, so he couldn’t use his second bike. Rossi pulled in at 2nd with a close Lorenzo in 3rd.
Ben Spies finished 7th, he will be replacing James Toseland next year on the Tech 3 Yamaha, he should be one to look out for to give Rossi a run for his money, however, I believe Stoner will win next year if everything goes according to Ducat’s plan over the winter-testing.
Rossi took the championship this year ahead of team-mate Lorenzo by 45 points whilst Pedrosa finished 27 points behind Lorenzo, Stoner however finished in 4th (220 points) due to his virus/bad health which kept him away for 2-4 MotoGP races, many people believe if Stoner hadn’t of been away from the circuit the outcome for the championship would have been different, I personally think Rossi still would have come out on top, you can never rule him out, no matter how hard it gets.
Next year should be a thrilling year, I’m already looking forward to it, roll on Qatar.
