PES 2009 Vs Fifa 09

The moment you’ve all been waiting for, my review of both games, however, please bare in mind, I’m a total PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) fan.

For the last 6 years PES has dominated Fifa but 2008 (PES) was quite a let down for many people, I personally didn’t think it was a bad release it was more of an exact copy of PES 6 in my honest opinion.

Anyway, PES got a total re-work this year, they went back to the drawing board and started fresh, Fifa, for countless years have been stealing all of PES’s game content, nothing is original from the Fifa side, with this said came the Fifa “Be A Pro” which apparently Fifa created, yet PES released this last year in PES 2008… Explain that EA?

Anyway, more into the review than a rant, PES 2009 sucks. I figured I’d keep it really short and sweet, Fifa has picked up their game and totally blasted PES into the water with their latest edition of the series.

PES has lost all of its good points, just to name a few, smooth-ness, realism, super-goal keepers.

Fifa has its bad points in my opinion (it always has) such as; poor set-piece layouts and the goal keepers are shite.

All in all, if you’re wondering which to buy, it’s Fifa 09 without a second thought, I’m a real PES lover and I just have to admit defeat, hopefully Konami (creators of PES) will take this version into consideration and make an amazing edition next year, I have my fingers crossed for them and really hope they can pull it off.
