MotoGP: Motegi

29 September 2008 – 11:00am

Motegi was to set history in MotoGP but one part of this couldn’t be achieved without Valentino Rossi, the greatest of all time? In my opinion, yes.
All Rossi had to do was finish on the podium to get his 6th MotoGP (premier class) championship.

The second part of history to be set in MotoGP was the official move to 1 tyre manufacturer for 2009, meaning all the riders would be on the same set of tyre, it’s unknown which manufacturer will be named, however, my money is on Bridgestone.

What an amazing ride by Rossi, he came 1st, gaining his 6th MotoGP championship, quite possibly the greatest rider of all time.

Stoner‘s performance wasn’t bad either, he came 2nd and was leading the race until pretty much near the end.

The battle between 3rd was very exciting, Lorenzo and Pedrosa, both pushing to the very limit but at the chequered flag it was Pedrosa who took 3rd.

The next race is Stoner‘s home grand prix of Australia, keep your eyes out for the GOAT though!
