Acer Notebook Worse Than Before

So yesterday I got my Notebook/Laptop back from InfoTeam (Acer’s repair centre) and well, they fixed the problem, but left me with 2 others.

1. My lines where removed (they replaced the FRUs).

However, this is what they left me with.

1. The webcam FRUS/Lense is positioned off-centre and has an 8th of the image blanked out.
2. The webcam isn’t a 1.3Megapixel anymore, it’s been downgraded to a 0.3Megapixel one.

If you look at my previous blog entry (Total 90 Training Gear & Boots) you will see the difference in the webcam quality, the left image (training gear) was taken with the old webcam (1.3Megapixel) and the right image (football boots) was taken with the new one that’s so called “fixed” (0.3Megapixel).

Clearly I’m not happy so I’ve just phoned them up and explained the situation, and “apparently” I’m now classed as “high priority” and they’ll get it back to me “as soon as possible”, they had it for 9 business days before (possibly 10, I had to actually tell them I had already sent it, bad communication between their departments?) so god knows how long they’ll keep it for this time.

Anyway, when it’s back I’ll be posting a full review on their Customer Service so if you (or a friend/relative) have an Acer Notebook/Laptop and it goes a little dodgy be sure to read my review when I get around too it.
