MotoGP: Assen
28 June 2008 – 1:42pmAnother storming and easy win for Stoner who won by a stupidly huge margin and was pulling away from the pack straight from the first lap.
Sadly Vale caused a crash and came off on the very first lap and therefore couldn’t challenge Stoner for 1st place but he did a good job at climbing back and ended up in 11th and got himself 5 championship points.
Good performance by the Repsol Honda riders; Pedrosa and Hayden finishing in 2nd and 4th.
Hayden was doing great until the last lap, on the last corner he ran out of fuel and Edwards came over the line to claim 3rd place!
With Pedrosa finishing in 2nd today that pushes him to the #1 spot in the current seasons standings. Vale will have a lot of work to do at the Sachsenring in Germany in 2 weeks time.
