Tooth Extraction
25 June 2008 – 10:22amI went to the dentist on Monday after having a small spot (like a zit you can pop) in my mouth, specifically on my gum, the spot didn’t hurt me at all as I could pop it myself with no pain at all, the dentist later confirmed it was an abscess after everyone I knew and even my local GP (doctor) said it wasn’t an abscess.
I was booked back in today and oh my fucking god was it a pain in the fucking ass. I got in, got numbed and went to the waiting area again for the cocaine to get to work, I went back into the chair and put my earphones back in pretty much thinking it would be a 5 second thing, but oh no.
My dentist was pulling at my tooth for a good 20 seconds straight, he was also moving my head from side to side even though I was forcing my head down into the chair, he pulled one of my earphones out and said to me..
“Sorry if this is hurting you a bit, this is the most trouble I’ve had in years with a tooth.”
Anyway, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, he then smashed my tooth with some small hammer and pulled the rest out which must have taken at least 4 minutes as I remember starting a song as soon as I went into the room and it had finished and gone onto the next song.
I got up from the chair and said…
“It felt like you where trying to pull my face off, nevermind my tooth.”
Anyway, it still hasn’t stopped bleeding and I’ve been home over an hour, apparently I’m not supposed to talk either (so my dentist says), well that’s a laugh considering I’m at work in a couple of hours and my job is quite literally to speak to customers, so that’ll be a laugh.
Anyway, if anyone out there has a small spot on their gum even if you don’t like dentists (I hate going) you should really get it checked out.
