Rule-Breaking Top Fansites!

25 January 2008 – 9:43am

After re-reading the rules (was brought to my attention by Jagex) I’ve noticed that all websites that link to Real-World Trading (including Google Adsense users) are marked as rule-breaking, mainly because there is a merciful direct link to rule breaking. Although websites don’t approve of it, it’s still there!

If they’re discreetly disguised the new/not so sure user will click on it and then possibly get into a whole world of trouble. Basically all sites that use Google Adsense and other similar products must remove their links to Real-World Trading or could suffer conciquence from Jagex themselves, with Jagex going all-out against Real-World Traders.

I’m not saying don’t use them websites, I’m saying for them to be “legal” (they’re classed as cheating websites, even the top ones) they must remove their links to Real-World Trading, if any website states they don’t control their ads, they’re blatantly lying because you can control them.

  2. I’m sorry but I cant read this anymore without saying something. So your complaining about other sites breaking the RS rules yet YOUR client which you claim breaks no rules (based on what your post on your forum says it DOES).

    — Hide the Adverts on Free Worlds.
    — Directly load any World.

  3. Arieder,

It’s not illegal to “hide adverts” if you use the official RS Client (which ours does, our client acts as a shell).
You can “directly load any world” if you use bookmarks, which hours does.

  4. So you wont have a problem with me asking JaGeX about that?
