MotoGP: Assen

29 June 2009 – 3:11pm

Rossi knew right straight from the start he had to get ahead of Lorenzo and make distance between them as the last race (Catalunya) ended Lorenzo said to Rossi “wait until the next race” as Rossi pulled an unbelievable overtaking manouver on the last corner.

In all honesty the race was quite an easy one for Rossi, he pulled away early and never looked back, there was quite a good scrap between Hayden and 5 other riders though.

Rossi finally reached his milestone of 100 race wins, 2nd place went to Lorenzo and 3rd to Stoner, the championship is taking more of a clearer shape now with Rossi leading on 131 points, Lorenzo on 126 and Stoner on 122, I believe that at the end of the season those 3 riders will end the championship in the positions they’re in now.

The next race is in a weeks time at Laguna Seca, the home of the infamous corkscrew, last year it was Casey Stoner who took it to Rossi in a thrilling race changing positions back and forth, hopefully this years race will be just as exciting.

Invision PowerBoard 3.0

27 June 2009 – 10:55am

It’s been a long time since I wrote a blog and an even longer time since I wrote a blog in the LeetScape category, so I best crack on with it.

Well I’ve just updated, LeetScape’s (one of my other websites) forum software to IPB3, the latest generation of IPB, which is without doubt the best forum software available at the moment, it quite simply blows vBulletin out the water, go give the forums a try.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

19 June 2009 – 6:05pm

Well, roughly got back from the cinema about an hour ago and I’ve done a vlog (video-log).

All in all, the movie is great, possibly even better than the first Transformers, well worth going to see, seriously.

There are no* spoilers in my video review so take a look (click here).

No* means there will be spoilers.

MotoGP: Catalunya

14 June 2009 – 1:56pm

The race started pretty good with Lorenzo pulling away from the pack and leaving Rossi and Stoner.

Rossi played it safe and did a few laps to let the tyres get heat in them and then pulled a move on Lorenzo to take the lead whilst leaving Stoner back in 3rd.

Rossi then lead the pack for quite a number of laps and eventually let Lorenzo go in front so Rossi could save his tyres, Rossi waited until 3 laps to go and took back first place, the last 3 laps where amazing!

On the final lap Lorenzo got ahead of Rossi on the first corner, just a couple of corners later Rossi got through but then Lorenzo faught back, Rossi pulled an amazing manouver on the last corner and took the win.

The last lap was the best final lap of MotoGP I’ve ever seen.

All 3 riders; Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner are tied on 106 championship points, this could be the tightest championship in a long while.

The final 3 laps where that good I’ve even got a link for you to watch it all you have to do is right click this link and press save as, the file is roughly 20Mb and .mp4 format so should play in almost any media player.

All 4 Grand Slams For Federer!

7 June 2009 – 5:08pm

Today was a historic day in the world of Tennis, Roger Federer joins Fred Perry, Don Budge, Roy Emerson, Rod Laver and Andre Agassi as the only men to have won all four Grand Slam titles, he finally claimed the French Open (Roland Garros).

Federer wrapped up a 6-1 7-6 (7-1) 6-4 victory against Robin Soderling in 1 hour and 55 minutes. With this win Federer has also equalled Pete Sampras’s all-time record of 14 Grand Slam titles, with Wimbledon just around the corner Federer will now be the hot favourite to go and take the title there too.
